5. Pixabay is a community-driven stock photo service with over 2.2 million photos available for download. It provides royalty-free photographs from contributors that anybody can change or use without the artist’s permission or attribution.

6. Reshot

Reshot is a large collection of unique free stock photographs that you won’t find anywhere else. Designed for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and makers who are tired of cheesy stock photographs. No attribution is required for commercial or editorial use.

7. Shutterstock

Shutterstock is a leading distributor of licensed stock pictures, with over one million creators and hundreds of thousands of assets added every day. Although the most of them are paid, there are some fantastic free photographs to be found.

8. Getty images

9. Kaboompics

Kaboompics has its own license, which is similar to CC0 but excludes redistribution of the photos. It has two features that I like: one, it allows you to search by color, and two, it displays a color palette in the snapshot.

10. Stocksnap

Stocksnap’s photographs are free to download, alter, and use for both commercial and non-commercial projects thanks to the Creative Commons CC0 license. Despite the fact that its collection is somewhat small, it is more than plenty to get you started.

11. Canva

Canva is a free visual creation application that also has a library of stock pictures. Canva has the advantage of instantly converting an image into a bespoke graphic for use on social media or your blog.

12. iStock

When you join up for a free membership with iStock, you get a fresh batch of free stock files every week. They’re decent enough to use on your projects, even if they’re not legendary masterpieces.

13. Gratisography

Gratisography also includes a free photo license that allows you to do “almost everything you can dream of.” While they only offer a small number of photographs at the moment, many of them are high-quality images that I would use.

14. Flickr

Flickr is a photo-sharing website where you can find photographs that you can use and modify for commercial purposes. To identify those photos, utilize the “Any license” filter and look for “Commercial use & mods allowed.”

15. Free Images

Under its own license, Free Images offers over 300,000 free stock images. The license allows for a wide range of uses, albeit it does specify a few exceptions (which are quite common for most free images sites).
